Voyageur Hat
Pattern is written flat & seamed but is a perfect candidate for knitting in the round
Classic Metis style voyageur hat. A functional warm hat - the tail was used to carry small light objects. How handy is that? This hat is a very easy knit! Fits average teen or adult.
Materials: Any dk weight yarn; 100g main colour, 50g contrast colour; 3,75mm/4mm (US5/US6)
Sample is done in Patons Astra light weight, 50g ball 147m/161yds

2 versions
Two hat versions: One features a seed-stitch top, the other is in stockinette. Knit from side to side in worsted weight with a provisional cast on and a grafted seam. Kitchener stitch instructions are included. Sized for an average adult.

Brambles and leaves are the theme of this scarf and hat set named after my dear friend Michele. The scarf is knitted in two pieces and grafted in the center for perfect symmetry. The hat is seamless and knitted in the round. Very easy!

Whispering Wings
This luxurious lace cape style shawl honors the spirit of those that fly-especially the silent whispering wings of the owl. The soaring owl is silent, alert, calmly efficient and represents wisdom and dignity.
Knit from the top down, the neckline design signifies trees where the great owl is perched by day. The next section is the yoke that shows the owl in flight by night with its wings gradually spreading open wider. The shawl body begins with the neck feathers, then the long flight feathers, finishing with the edging that portrays the wing tips that undulate in the wind.
Finished sizes:
